With fireworks lighting up the night sky, EDC Guangdong 2018 came to a close in Zhuhai, Guangdong. On November 24th and 25th, Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort transformed into a two-day international music festival, bringing an extraordinary weekend to tens of thousands of dance music lovers. The livestream, presented by Tencent and Huya, reached 5 million viewers per day . Featuring live performances from Major Lazer, Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Steve Angello, ZHU, ZEDD, and otherworld-renowned DJs, EDC Guangdong also showcased the iconic stage and lighting production, theatrical performers and interactive ecarnival experience that EDC is known for around the world. As Scarlett Li, founder of Zebra Media and, Eric He, CEO of Zebra Media emphasized, “It is our goal to bring out the most authentic top show and spread the spirit of EDC’s “All Are Welcome Here” to all music lovers.”

Major Lazer, Tiësto, Porter Robinson, and ZHU closed out the 24th and 25th respectively. As the most sought-after names in the industry, they showed up in a burst of cheers and set the venue on fire with hot beats. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Angello, and ZEDD, along with other top DJs, also performed. Their various acts complemented the lights, lasers and fireworks, uniting the huge crowd with music.

If the high-energy music didn’t contribute to the crowd’s ecstatic reaction, the perfectly-timed fireworks show cemented the weekend’s success. Fireworks lit up the sky, providing an extraordinary backdrop for the DJs’ incredible performances as lovers kissed and laughed in the audience. The fireworks may have faded away, but this moment will be firmly imprinted in the minds of every Headliner.

EDC Guangdong’s phenomenal production is another highlight. kineticFIELD, showcasing the kineticGAIA stage with a node to the elements of mother nature,  traveled internationally after its debut at EDC Las Vegas 2017. circuitGrounds made a comeback with its industrial theme, glowing with steel posts supporting five huge screens under EDC's electric sky. Meanwhile, quantumValley, jointly presented by EDC and BUDX, brought trance via Dreamstate on Saturday and bass via Bassrush on Sunday. The unique Boombox Artcar provided a touch of bright color for the already-illuminated venue.

What distinguished EDC from other music events is its immersive aspects. Effervescent daisy lanterns and interactive art installations offered Headliners many photo opportunities in a fantasy land alight with neon and color. In addition to the onstage DJs, Insomniac’s original theatrical performers danced their way into the Headliners’ hearts, dressed in extravagant costumes.

Amidst cheers from tens of thousands of spectators, the two-day festival came to a successful close in Zhuhai. As the only international music festival that has come to China twice in one year, EDC Guangdong arrived 7 months after its debut in Shanghai. Adhering to the spirit of P.L.U.R.—peace, love, unity, and respect—EDC Guangdong awakened the body and soul of each Headliner, spreading happiness to every corner of the Pearl River Delta. The core spirit of "All Are Welcome here," promoted by EDC, eliminated all labels and boundaries such as race, age, and gender, bonding everyone under the electric sky.
