In a financial statement published by Tencent Music Entertainment in May, the Asia-based dance music label Liquid State stood out due to the success of one of its first releases: "Reverse" by Shanghai-based CORSAK. The Chinese producer's debut single hit over 500 million streams in China during the first four months of 2019.

The dance music market has rapidly increased in popularity in the past few years in China. Many local Chinese producers have begun to emerge, and many dance music festivals have started to appear in the market. China's streaming platform also launched its EDM TV show Rave Now with main judges Alan Walker and Lay Zhang last year, which pushed electronic music closer to the mainstream.

CORSAK started his music career at age 3 with classical piano, and graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with a degree in Electronic Music Production.

He released his debut single, "Reverse," in July 2018 after signing to Liquid State, and in early 2019, the single went viral on social media, receiving hundreds of millions streams on Tencent's three music platforms: QQ Music, Kugou Music and Kuwo Music.

In May, CORSAK released a remix of "That Girl" by Olly Murs with Chinese singer Liu Yu Ning. The original single received 4 billion streams in China and was certified by IFPI as the 18th biggest track globally in 2018 with a TTE of 7.5 million.

In June, Tencent Music Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment Asia and Liquid State presented CORSAK with a plaque recognizing his 500 million streams achievement in Hong Kong, China.

CORSAK shared with Billboard Radio China: "I'm really grateful for Tencent Music, Sony Music and Liquid State for their trust and support. I'm honored to work with all these professionals and hope to continue with this success. I hope one day I can bring Chinese music to the world."

Recently, CORSAK teamed up with New Zealand singer Robinson for his first English single, "GLOW," and in July, he will perform for the first time at Tomorrowland in Belgium.
